VIENTIANE – The first Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam (CLV) friendship bicycle tournament kicked off in Vientiane on December 6.
The event, organized by the National Assembly of Laos, was part of activities surrounding the first Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam Parliamentary Summit, held in Laos from December 4-7.
The race featured 45 cyclists from the three countries, competing in a 35.2-km race through Vientiane.
According to the event organizers, the race aims to promote regional sports, encourage people-to-people exchanges, and strengthen the bond between the three nations. It also supports the summit’s success while promoting peace, friendship, solidarity, and cooperation for sustainable development.
In the individual competition, Vietnamese cyclists won gold and bronze, while Cambodia secured the silver medal. In the team category, Cambodia took first place, followed by Laos in second and Vietnam in third.
