The Temecula Valley Balloon & Wine Festival is set to return in just over two weeks, bringing a weekend of music, food, carnival fun, and breathtaking balloon rides to the Lake Skinner Recreation Area in Winchester.
Kicking off the morning of June 20 and running through the evening of June 22, the festival continues a tradition that dates back to 1983, cementing its place as a cherished event in the region.
“The Temecula Valley Balloon & Wine Festival is one of the region’s longest-running festivals and has been a longstanding cornerstone of Southern California’s vibrant cultural landscape,” said Stephen Partridge, President of Event.com. “We couldn’t be more thrilled to be a part of its continued growth.”
This year’s music lineup features the legendary Alabama, known for a string of country hits from the 1970s and early ’80s. Other featured performers include Kylie Morgan, Moonlight, The Steeldivers, and Western Medicine.
Throughout the weekend, hot air balloon rides will lift guests hundreds of feet into the air for stunning panoramic views of Temecula Wine Country, the Cleveland National Forest, and the surrounding mountain ranges. Rides last about an hour and are dependent on weather conditions.
Beyond the balloons and bands, festivalgoers can enjoy barbecue, carnival rides, dancing, and a wide selection of adult beverages. Dozens of vendors, including top local vintners, will offer tastings of some of the area’s best wines.
For those staying the weekend, camping at Lake Skinner is available, with accommodations including tents and trailers.
Ticket prices vary from $99 to $5,000, depending on the type of pass and duration of attendance. Parking is not included in the ticket price and must be purchased separately.
