Three hikers found themselves stranded near Bridal Veil Falls in Utah County on Sunday after unexpected severe weather rolled in, making it too dangerous for them to descend the mountain on their own.
The Utah County Sheriff Search and Rescue team was quickly dispatched to respond to the emergency. After evaluating the hazardous conditions on the ground, the team called in additional support from the Utah Department of Public Safety Helicopter to safely reach the hikers.
Thanks to the coordinated efforts of both ground and air rescue crews, all three individuals were safely located and extracted from the mountainside. Authorities confirmed that no injuries were reported during the incident.
The successful rescue highlighted the importance of rapid collaboration between agencies during backcountry emergencies and served as a reminder of how quickly weather can change in mountainous regions.
