Parks Canada has introduced a new initiative aimed at encouraging residents and visitors to explore the country’s natural and cultural attractions this summer. The “Canada Strong Pass” officially launches on Friday and offers a wide range of benefits to anyone planning to enjoy Canada’s national parks, museums, and campgrounds.

With this special pass, all visitors can enjoy free admission to national historic sites, national parks, and national marine conservation areas. The program also offers a 25% discount on camping fees, making it more affordable for families and individuals to spend time in the great outdoors. The Canada Strong Pass is valid until September 2, 2025.

No registration or physical pass is required. Visitors can simply show up at participating locations and receive the advertised benefits. In a statement, Steven Guilbeault, Minister of Canadian Identity and Culture and Minister responsible for Official Languages, said the pass reflects the sense of national unity shown by Canadians throughout the year. He emphasized that the program is designed to help families connect with nature, experience Canadian culture, and create lasting summer memories.

Several provincial and territorial museums and galleries are taking part as well, offering similar perks for children and young adults. The Canada Strong Pass is open to everyone, including international visitors, with no restrictions based on nationality or residency.

According to Parks Canada, anyone who has already purchased a Parks Canada Discovery Pass valid for June, July, or August 2025 will receive an automatic three-month extension. This ensures that more people can take advantage of Canada’s scenic landscapes and rich heritage throughout the summer and beyond.
