Wilson State Park Campground in Kansas has secured a spot among the top 10 camping locations in the central United States, according to a new ranking by The Dyrt.
The Dyrt, a popular consumer subscription platform and app, connects outdoor enthusiasts with various camping options and resources. In its recent rankings, it placed Wilson State Park Campground at number ten for the central region.
The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks (KDWP) describes Wilson State Park as a vast and scenic destination. It offers a range of outdoor activities including camping, access to the Wilson Wildlife Area for hunting, fishing opportunities in Wilson Reservoir, and multiple trails for hiking and biking. Many Kansans consider it the most beautiful park in the state.
The park’s office is open to visitors Sunday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Friday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
