Jellystone Park™ Zion, located near the iconic Zion National Park in Utah, has completed a significant expansion less than a year after opening. This newly enhanced Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resort has quickly gained popularity as a premier family destination in Southern Utah, offering a unique mix of camping, glamping, and RV accommodations.
This expansion makes the resort one of the most activity-packed locations in the region, boasting more pools, giant water slides, and kid-friendly attractions than any other campground in Southern Utah. A majority of these features, including the popular Water Zone, are included with the cost of an overnight stay.
Part of a nationwide network of more than 75 franchised locations operated in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences, Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts continue to set a high standard for family-oriented outdoor recreation.
In preparation for the summer vacation season, Jellystone Park Zion has doubled its RV camping capacity, increasing from 100 to 200 sites. In addition, the park has introduced a novel hybrid tent glamping concept designed to appeal to families. These hybrid tent sites feature air-conditioned mini cabins—dubbed Boo Boo Bear Caves—furnished with hotel-style amenities including beds, Wi-Fi, televisions, small refrigerators, and microwaves. Campers pitch their tents next to these cozy units, blending traditional camping with modern comfort.
“This style of glamping is the best of both worlds,” explained franchise owner Scott Nielson. “Kids love tent camping, parents love the affordability, and the entire family will enjoy taking a break from the fun and sun in air-conditioned comfort.” Boo Boo Bear Cave tent site rates start at $55 per night and include full access to the Water Zone and all other park activities and attractions.
As temperatures begin to rise, the resort’s Water Zone is now open on weekends, starting Fridays at 3:00 p.m., and will operate daily beginning Memorial Day weekend. The aquatic center offers a wide range of water-based activities, including four giant slides, a splashground, two swimming pools, a lazy river, two oversized hot tubs, and a lake with a sandy beach and floating obstacle course.
Beyond water play, Jellystone Park Zion features numerous land-based activities and amenities such as a jumping pillow, gem mining area, multiple sports courts including pickleball, a playground, and a dog park. Organized daily activities ensure there’s always something exciting for guests to enjoy, including meet-and-greets with characters like Yogi Bear, Boo Boo, and Cindy Bear, as well as foam parties, dance parties, wagon rides, candy bar bingo, and arts and crafts.
Weekends are especially vibrant, with themed events like Christmas in July, Pirate & Princess Palooza, Halloween Weekends, Under the Sea adventures, and Chocolate Lover’s Weekend providing fun for all ages.
The park also offers a selection of fully equipped, luxury glamping cabins for guests who prefer a more upscale camping experience. Both overnight visitors and day guests are welcome, and day passes grant access to all of the resort’s attractions and activities, including the Water Zone.
With this recent expansion and the introduction of its innovative hybrid tent glamping concept, Jellystone Park Zion continues to establish itself as a leading family resort destination in Utah, offering memorable outdoor adventures that cater to a wide variety of preferences and budgets.
