Knowsley’s parks are full of walking and cycling routes for people of all ages and abilities. Join free guided walks, fun buggy strolls, or pedal-powered adventures this spring.
Discover Scenic Walks Across Knowsley
With the weather getting warmer, it’s the perfect time to explore Knowsley’s green spaces. Knowsley Council’s Green Space Ranger team runs free weekly walks across the borough’s parks. There are beginner-friendly health walks, intermediate walks, and even Nordic walking sessions.

Walking for Beginners: Mondays, 10 am to 11 am – about 1 mile, 45 minutes
Intermediate Walks: Tuesdays, 1 pm to 3 pm – 3 to 4 miles, about 2 hours

Beginners Walk: Wednesdays, 10:30 am
Intermediate Walk: Mondays, 10 am to 11:30 am – 4 to 5 miles

All Nordic walking equipment is provided free of charge.
Buggy Walks for Mums
Fun, social buggy walks take place weekly with Mamafit to support new mums. These walks are a chance to meet others, share advice, and relax.

All walks are free, but booking is required. Walks end with discounted or free hot drinks.
Pedal Through the Borough
Try one of the popular Pedal Away cycling sessions. Bikes and helmets are provided, and trained leaders guide the rides. A suggested £2 donation helps support the programme. All are welcome—no matter your age or experience level.

Routes include Liverpool Loop Line, Hale Village, Croxteth Park, Ormskirk, Rainford, and Crosby.
Inclusive Cycling for All Abilities
Wheels for All is an inclusive cycling programme at Halewood Park Visitor Centre on Okell Drive. It offers safe cycling experiences for people with disabilities and different needs. Trained leaders help participants use adapted bikes including two-, three-, and four-wheelers, recumbents, hand cycles, and wheelchair transporters.
Everyone is welcome to enjoy the benefits of cycling, no matter their age or ability.
