Body Discovered in Search for Missing Swiss Hiker on Scotland’s Most Challenging Trail

by Alice

Bernard Trottet, 65, a Swiss national, went missing while hiking the Cape Wrath Trail in the Scottish Highlands—known as the toughest hiking route in Britain.

He was last seen at the Corryhully Bothy in Glenfinnan on Tuesday, May 27. Bernard had planned to continue north toward Kinloch Hourn and then head to a campsite in Morvich.

When he failed to reach his destination, concerns for his safety grew. Bernard was an experienced hiker, and it was unusual for him to be out of contact with his family for such an extended period.
