An annual tradition continues as 14 post-Tour de France criteriums have been confirmed for summer 2025, offering cycling fans the chance to see their favorite Tour stars up close on French roads. These events, a staple in the aftermath of the Tour de France, will span across France throughout late July and August, joining similar festivities held in Belgium and the Netherlands.
The Association of French Professional Criteriums (ACPF) has officially announced the full summer schedule, bringing both excitement and innovation. In a press release, the ACPF revealed a notable addition to the calendar: the debut of Women’s Cycling Criteriums at both the Critérium de Bretagne and the Colmar Criterion.
“We are also particularly excited to unveil a highly anticipated new feature: a Women’s Cycling Critérium will be organized during the Critérium de Bretagne as well as the Critérium de Colmar with the presence of some of the best riders in the peloton,” the ACPF shared.
The association emphasized the significance of this initiative in promoting women’s sports:
“This will be a unique opportunity to celebrate the tremendous talent and competitive spirit of women cyclists, who are gaining visibility and recognition. In an era where women’s cycling is in the spotlight, this event promises to be a brilliant showcase of the performances and aspirations of sportswomen. Come support our athletes and see up close the power and determination that drive women’s cycling!”
